If you need guidance to set your remote up, please read the following information carefully.
You will need to programme a 4 digit code into your Sky, Sky+ or Sky HD remote control.
Please note that the codes will only be accepted if the Sky Remote Control is a Revision 9F (launched in August 2010 for new Sky HD installations) or later.
Please also note Sky no longer support the old style 'blue' Sky remotes and therefore we do not have the codes for those types of remote control.
If you have a 'One For All' branded Sky remote control, please use the codes we have listed for Universal Remote Controls.
Depending on when the remote was manufactured, not all 'One for All' Sky Remotes will accept these codes.
Most models of Sharp TV's launched from August 2015 onwards use the very latest 'RF' technology as opposed to earlier models which use the previous technology called Infrared (IR).
Android based models use a cominbation of Infrared (IR) and Bluetooth (BT). Sky Remotes using IR technology (up to and including Revision 10) cannot operate our newer models of TV's which use 'RF' remote controls. (The same applies to the vast majority of models launched by most of the premium brands whose models launched from Jan 2015).
In the future, Sky may launch remote controls using ‘RF’ technology which will mean you will be able to use a Sky Remote to operate the basic functions of any new RF controlled Sharp TV (as well as most other premium brands).
For the latest Sky Remotes supplied with "Q" boxes, these remotes are IR+BT (Infrade and Bluetooth).
To find out which version of Sky Remote you have, remove the battery cover, you should see a sticker showing the 'Rev' number. You can find detailed instructions by clicking here.
If your Sky remote is Rev 8 or earlier, you will need to purchase a new Sky Remote control in order to operate the TV's functions.
